A local company with a long view

Solar Vest Energy is a solar installation company based at 1521 Commerce Avenue in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We serve the Cumberland Valley — Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill, Enola, and the greater Harrisburg area — with residential rooftop systems, commercial arrays, barn and agricultural installations, energy assessments, and ongoing maintenance.

The company is led by Timothy Heishman, our president. Timothy approaches this business the way the valley approaches most things: patiently, practically, and with an eye toward whether something will still make sense in twenty years. That temperament shapes everything we do. We would rather talk a homeowner out of a system that does not fit their roof than sell one we know will disappoint. We would rather size a system conservatively and watch it overperform than promise numbers we cannot stand behind.

Our approach

Every project begins with the property itself. We look at the roof structure, the shading from nearby trees and buildings, the direction the surfaces face, and the way the household or business actually consumes electricity across the seasons. Only then do we design the array. The result is a system matched to real conditions instead of a generic template.

Installation follows the same discipline. Fasteners torqued to specification, flashing done properly, wiring labeled and protected, and a walk-through at the end so you know what every component does. When the inspection passes and the meter spins, the work is not finished — monitoring, maintenance, and plain answers to questions are part of the job for as long as the system is on the roof.
